The story of StyleRadar began with a humble dream. Elias Voulgaris, a young watchmaker with calloused hands and a heart full of ambition, first set his sights on creating timepieces that would capture the essence of life itself. Born into a family of fishermen, Elias found solace in the rhythmic ticking of clocks, a sound that reminded him of the sea’s steady waves.

Beginning

StyleRadar began in 1608 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, when Johann Müller, a clockmaker from a family of shepherds, started making watches. Inspired by the sound of church bells, he built his first pocket watch with a silver face and gave it to his friend Anna. Her appreciation motivated him to turn watchmaking into a business. With a small shed as his workshop, Johann gathered local artisans to help, using community-sourced materials like leather and metal. This teamwork laid the foundation for the company.

First Breakthrough

First Breakthrough

By 1625, Johann’s workshop grew, and his family took over the craft. His grandson, Lukas, expanded the business in the 18th century, adding engravings and automatic movements, which made StyleRadar known across Europe. Lukas once repaired a widow’s watch for free, building customer loyalty. The company faced challenges during the Industrial Revolution and World Wars but preserved its tools and techniques, passing them down through generations.

In 1950, Helena Müller modernized StyleRadar with quartz technology while keeping traditional methods.

New era
2010 2010

New era

By 2010, rising costs in Switzerland pushed the company to relocate. Markus Müller, the leader at the time, chose Kaunas, Lithuania, where local artisans welcomed the brand.
